Market@December 22: Day's report

Technology stocks showed weak trend throughout the day and it worsened further in the second half. Among the biggest losers were Global Tele and SSI losing close to 16 per cent each. Other stocks like Satyam, Pentamedia, Himachal, Zee Tele, DSQ Soft and Silverline also lost more than 7 per cent each.

Pivotals too succumbed to the selling pressure and cement stocks which were strong in the early trading session, lost substantially towards the end.

Sensex down 128 points at 3906, Nifty down 37 point at 1240.
