Market@December 14: Day's report

After remaining firm in the first hour of trading, the software stocks came under strong selling pressure. Global Tele, Wipro, Silverline and Satyam dipped nearly 3 per cent each.

Other stocks also reacted from their respective highs. Zee Tele however attracted strong buying.

The cement stocks remained in great demand. L&T, Guj Ambuja and India Cements gained smartly. Other old economy stocks witnessed selling at higher levels.
