BSE turnover at Rs 27.88 bn an all-time high

The Bombay Stock Exchange has recorded an all-time high turnover of Rs 27.88 billion today.

The previous high on the bourse was Rs 27.64 billion on August 25, 1999.

Today's turnover comprises Rs 25.83 billion from the A group, Rs 1.72 billion from the B1 group, Rs 205.7 million from the B2 group and Rs 17 million from the F1 group.

As many as 2,143 scrips traded out of 7,567 total scrips on the BSE in total 306,723 trades. Number of shares that changed hands today were 79.6 million.
