Bose Corp unveils acoustic wave music system in India

Bose Corporation of the United States today unveiled its famed acoustic wave music system for the Indian market.

The system incorporates waveguide technology which is based on controlled interaction of acoustical waves with a moving surface.

This interaction takes place inside the precision waveguide -- a mathematically formulated tube inside of which a loudspeaker is placed.

The waveguide inside the acoustic wave music system is nearly seven feet long and folded numerous times to fit inside the enclosure.

The acoustic wave music system includes a full-featured CD player, AM/FM stereo tuner with 10 pre-sets, and all the speaker, amplification and equalisation technology to fill a room with sound.

The $ 950 million Bose Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturer of component quality home stereo loudspeakers, high-end integrated music and home theatre systems, besides acoustically customised automotive systems.
