Pivotals decline moderately; Nifty down ten points, 865.10

Pivotals declined moderately at the National Stock Excahnge following speculative selling pressure today.

Reflecting the weak trend, the S&P CNX Nifty opened at 875.75, touched the day's high of 878.85, fell to the day's low of 864.30 points before closing at 865.10 points, showing a net loss of 9.95 points over the previous close of 875.05 points.

S&P CNX Nifty Junior closed lower by 7.90 points to 1459.25 from the previous close of 1467.15 points.

S&P CNX Defty declined by 8.10 points to 705.90 points, as against the previous close of 714.00 points. S&P CNX-500 and CNX- Midcap also eased by 5.52 and 3.99 points to 591.62 and 528.07 points against the previous close of 597.14 and 532.06 points.

Total turnover on the NSE reported during the day was Rs 12.93 billion.

About 73.88 million shares were traded in 213,813 trades.
