Email this report to a friend

Dr Koh Tsu Koon, chief minister of Penang province in Malaysia today suggested that Bangalore and Penang have a chartered airline service and a joint venture company be floated for this purpose.

In an interaction with members of the Greater Mysore Chamber of Industry in Mysore, he said: "Penang is the mini Malaysia and Bangalore is mini India." Hence, both could be joined by an exclusive air service, he added.

The charter air service would become a success as Penang is a gateway to several European countries.

A letter of intent was signed between the two states today to improve bilateral cooperation, covering all areas of business and commerce.
