Export licensing process simplified

The Director General of Foreign Trade has simplified the procedure for obtaining advance licence for exporters.

People can now obtain the advance licence based on adhoc norms fixed by technical committee without any limit till the same is modified notified by Special Advance Licence Committee, a release said here today.

The grant of export house certification has been decentralised and regional licensing authorities have been authorised to issue the certificates, it said.

Post export Duty Entitlement Pass Book can be claimed in respect of shipment made prior to issuance of pre-export DEPB as well as in respect of shipment made from a port other than port mentioned under pre-export DEPB. All airports/seaports/inland container depots in a particular district have been declared as a single port under DEPB, the release added.
