Senior Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar has said his party will not leave the National Democratic Alliance or snap ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party to join hands with Ramvilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party to form a government in Bihar.

Bihar has been put under President's Rule after no party or formation had enough legislators to form the government.

"The conditions put by Paswan is not acceptable to us," Nitish said on Saturday.

Nitish, addressing 55 newly elected JD(U) legislators in Patna on Saturday, said that Paswan was responsible for imposition of President's Rule  in Bihar.

"Paswan was solely responsible for the political stalemate in Bihar " Nitish said.

Nitish said that President's Rule in state was nothing but indirect rule by the United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre.

He said Lalu Prasad Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal would benefit most from the imposition of central rule, followed by Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party and the Congress.
