Caretaker Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal legislature party leader Rabri Devi is likely to stake claim on Thursday to form the next government in the state, sources close to Rabri Devi said.

The Congress, which has 10 members of Legislative Assembly, has extended support to the RJD. The RJD also has the support from the Bahujan Samaj Party [2 MLAs], National Congress Party [3], the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [1] and the CPI [3].

"RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is likely to get more support to form the next government," a senior RJD leader said.

Sources close to 1 Anne Marg, the official residence of Rabri Devi, told rediff.com that the party is sure of mustering support of most of the 17 Independent MLAs.

Lalu has already declared that the RJD will stake claim to form the government. However, he still hasn't been able to muster the magic figure of 122 in the 243-seat assembly.
