The Union Minister of State for Home, Sriprakash Jaiswal, on Thursday ruled out imposition of President's rule in Bihar in case of a fractured verdict in the assembly election.
He was responding to a question about Lok Janshakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan's comment on the issue.
"Paswan is the president of his party and is free to express his mind."
Paswan said on Wednesday that he would not extend support to the Rashtriya Janata Dal, instead would prefer central rule imposed in the state.
Jaiswal, who is in Patna to campaign for the Congress for the third phase of polls on February 23, said, "Even if there is a hung House, a secular government will be formed. All the United Progressive Alliance allies will join hands to form the next government."
Jaiswal also hinted that the Congress was ready to head the next government in Bihar in case of a 'fractured verdict'.
