The second phase of polls in the state is scheduled for February 15.

Two separate first information reports were registered with the Pipra and Supaul police stations in the district against RJD workers, including a shopkeeper Rajesh Yadav, Superintendent of Police (Supaul) M P Singh told PTI today.

Singh said the posters, which were in Urdu, were put up on walls and some shops in the two police station areas on Sunday.

Another FIR was lodged against an organisation and printers of such posters, which appeared under Sikarpur assembly constituency in West Champaran, official sources said.

The posters were found pasted at Dhumnagar Chowk, Semra Chowk, Ajuwa Chowk and Dhumnagar village on Sunday.

On noticing the posters, the returning officer of the constituency Raja Ram Choudhary got the matter probed by the circle officer before lodging the FIR.

Appearance of such posters and screening of CDs on Gujarat riots have sparked off a controversy with the Election Commission serving a notice on the ruling party.

Earlier such posters had appeared in Bhagalpur, Kishanganj and Purnea districts of Bihar.
