Four years after parting ways, the Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar and his Congress counterpart, Sonia Gandhi, will come together in Solapur on April 1.
"The Congress president's programme [in Maharashtra] has been rescheduled and will now be held on April 1 and 2," Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Ranjit Deshmukh said on Wednesday in Mumbai.
On April 1, Gandhi will travel from Killari in Marathwada to Solapur in western Maharashtra, where she will address a public meeting with Pawar, Deshmukh said.
The next day, she will begin her Sampark Abhiyan (contact programme) from Chandrapur in Vidarbha, but there will be no public meetings during the day, he added.
The two parties recently sealed a seat-sharing agreement for Lok Sabha polls in the state.
