Actor Govinda on Monday indicated that he might join the Congress and contest against Union Petroleum Minister Ram Naik in Mumbai North Lok Sabha constituency.

After a 40-minute meeting with Congress president Sonia Gandhi at her 10, Janpath residence in New Delhi, he said people might soon see him in a new avtar.

"I have been meeting her off and on. After a dip in holy Ganga who is not purified? I have known her for years and I respect her," he said.

Govinda drove to Gandhi's place in a white Ambassador car along with Congress leader Kamal Nath.

He had campaigned for the Congress in the last general election and had addressed a number of rallies at various places.
