Pakistan TV lie about J&K polls exposed

The false propaganda of Pakistan TV stood exposed yet again when the channel claimed that voters were dragged out of their houses in Lolab assembly constituency in Kupwara district without realising that elections were countermanded there after the assassination of Jammu and Kashmir minister Mushtaq Ahmed Lone.

"People were dragged out by [the] Indian Army in Lolab constituency and forced to vote," said the newsreader on Monday's prime time bulletin.

Elections to Lolab will be held on October 8.

The channel went on to say that several officials were killed when terrorists ambushed polling stations in Kupwara, Baramulla and Rajouri districts.

Nearly 20 minutes of the 30-minute telecast were devoted to suggesting that the elections were farce in the first phase.
