Six arrested for booth capturing in Orissa

Six jharkhandis were arrested Monday for their involvement in booth capturing at Dhubnisole and Gandipani villages of Orissa's Mayurbhanj parliamentary constituency.

Laxman Murmu, Thakura Soren, Shyama Murmu, Ananda Giri and Shambhu Giri stand accused of capturing polling booths number 73 and 74 at Dhubnisole and 75 and 76 at Gandipani during Sunday's polling.

Mayurbhanj district returning officer, incidentally, has requested the Election Commission to conduct a repoll in these booths.
