We ain't playing our best yet: Gibbs

South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs today sent the alarm bells ringing for India, saying his team would look to pile on the agony on the visitors in the fifth and final one-dayer next week.

Gibbs ended his run drought with a match-winning half-century that helped South Africa win the fourth ODI by 80 runs and take a winning 3-0 lead over India.

The middle-order batsman said that although the hosts had pocketed the series there would be no let up in the plundering of runs.

"Now that there is no pressure we can play with more freedom. Hopefully we can put up a good score," said Gibbs who made an unbeaten 93.

He said South Africa have not batted to their potential yet in the series so far.

"We are not firing yet as we know we can. We are winning despite not playing well. So that feels great."

India's stand-in captain Virender Sehwag said the team missed the services of injured skipper Rahul Dravid and refused to confirm whether VVS Laxman, called in as replacement, would play in the final ODI on Dec 6.

"Laxman is arriving here on the first of December. Let us see how it goes," he said.

"The batsmen have disappointed once again. The top order didn't click and there was no partnership," Sehwag said after India were all out for 163 while chasing 243 for eight.

South African skipper Graeme Smith took confidence from the fact that despite losing the openers for only six on the board, his team won emphatically.

"It is not our best batting but we showed a lot of character... We didn't give them a sniff at the target," said Smith who was out for a first over duck for a third successive time.
