South Africa captain Graeme Smith won the toss, for the fourth time in a row, and elected to bat in the Twenty-20 cricket match against India in Johannesburg on Friday.
This is the first Twenty-20 game for India since the instant variety was introduced at the international level last year.
Australia defeated New Zealand by 44 runs in the first match at Auckland on February 17.
The format comprises teams playing an innings of 20 overs in 80 minutes each, with a 20-minute interval between the two innings.
A 'no ball' means the batsman has a free hit the next ball and in case of a tie, the winner would be decided by bowl out which involves players from either side, except the wicketkeeper, having a go at single stump in the middle.
