CRICKET Aussies don't cave in easy Now you know why the Aussies are champs. Already one Test down and after Virender Sehwag scored 195 on the opening day of the Melbourne Test one could be forgiven for thinking that the Australian grip on the Gavaskar-Border Trophy was slipping. The next morning six Indian wickets fell for 16 runs and Australia had clawed back into the match with a vengeance. Ricky Ponting scored his second successive Test double century and saw Australia amass 558 runs in reply to India's 366. The Indians collapsed in the second innings for 286, an overall lead of 94, which were overhauled with yawning ease by Australia. The series was levelled at 1-1 with the final Test beginning in Sydney today. Text: Faisal Shariff India's tour of Australia 2003
