Rain threat to triangular series final
The triangular series one-day final between South Africa and India, scheduled for Durban on Friday, has been threatened by rain.
More showers are predicted for Friday and Saturday, set aside as a reserve day should the match not be completed as planned.
However, the KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union (KZCU) is confident the final will go ahead. So much so that it did not organise the transport of a drainage machine from Johannesburg.
"My gut feel is that we could still play tomorrow (Friday)," KZCU chief executive Cassim Docrat told Reuters on Thursday.
"If it stops raining, we won't have a problem with the ground. It will be ready, although we may have a late start."
