Union Sports Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa has called Board of Control for Cricket in India president A C Muthiah to Delhi on November 3, to explain the board's position on the action to be taken against players named in the Central Bureau of Investigation's match-fixing report

At a press conference in Delhi soon after making the report public, Dhindsa said the government is thinking of enacting a law to deal with match-fixing , and he will be approaching the law ministry in this connection.

The minister refused to comment on whether the players named would be banned.

He also said a copy of the report will be given to home ministry for any action it may recommend.

On November 22, Dhindsa has called a meeting of all state sports ministers to discuss ways and means to clear up the mess in sports, not just cricket.
