There is no match-fixing in India: Lele

Board of Control for Cricket in India honorary secretary Jaywant Lele still feels that Indian cricket is clean and there is no match-fixing in India.

He told rediff.com over the telephone from his residence in Baroda, "I don't believe there is match-fixing in India. I have said it earlier and am saying it again. It is impossible to fix a match."

When asked about the CBI report, Lele refused to comment, saying that he has not read it.

"It is possible that there are two-three black sheep in the team, but two people cannot fix a match. It takes the whole team to fix a match," added the fiery secretary.

"However if any player is found guilty, then according to the Code of Conduct he will be dealt with severely.

"The BCCI will decide at the board meeting tomorrow what action they will take," he said.
