TISL launches IBM's ThinkPad 380Tata Information Systems Limited has announced the ThinkPad 380 notebook family, closing the price gap and computing performance between desktops and mobile computers. The ThinkPad 380 series combines a floppy diskette drive, CD-ROM drive and hard drive with a large screen and fast microprocessors, 'all packaged in an affordable unit', according to a press release. The ThinkPad 380 series joins IBM's award winning ThinkPad family of mobile computers that cater for customers ranging from retail consumers to large corporations, according to a TISL release. The ThinkPad 380 series, all-in-one design represents the next step in mobile computing as the power and features now available in notebook computers rapidly approach those of a desktop said Alok Ohri, the country marketing manager, Tata Information Systems Limited.
