Netscape bullish on Asia opportunity
The US based Netscape Communications Corp expected its revenue from Asia to double in 1998 despite the region's economic troubles, a company official has said. "Across the region, we will double sales," Ramesh Nava, managing director of Netscape Asia South has said. Netscape's Asia South region covers the regional grouping of ASEAN, Indochina and India. Nava said the region made negligible contribution to the group in 1996 as it was new to the market. "1997 is our first real year of operations," he said, but declined to reveal revenue figures.
