HFCL builds software for running hospitals

Email this story to a friend. Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited has unveiled software for hospital management.

HFCL's Medisoft is an integrated hospital management system for total computerisation of hospitals and clinics. It is a hospital-wide software solution and supports the decision-making system.

It provides easy access to patient information and other data for research and is modular and scalable.

Secured with multi-level passwords, it is built on open system architecture. And it can also be accessed through the Internet.

The software has already been installed at Dayanand Hospital, Ludhiana, and pilot tested at the Indian Red Cross Society.

The company is aiming to sell this system among 11,000 hospitals in big cities in the first stage. The cost of the turnkey solution integration is between Rs 400,000 and Rs 500,000.

The software has been developed by the HFCL - Informatics Division. The division that was created in 1996 provides information technology solutions for telecom equipment manufacturers, service providers and business application software.
