The state government has entrusted the Bhoj Open University to execute the project being carried out with financial aid from the central government.

The BOU will be in direct touch with 417 government higher secondary schools through its regional centres, an official statement claimed yesterday.

The project envisages setting up of a modern computer laboratory and a computer library in each government high secondary school.

A programme to train two teachers from each school is already being implemented and about 450 teachers have so far been trained through computer laboratories set up at the regional centres of the open university.

The regional centres of the BOU are equipped with technical experts and suitable arrangements for computer education have been made at 250 study centres in the state to ensure better computer education in higher secondary schools in remote areas.
