Novell to launch training programmesNovell Institute for Networking Technologies will launch training programmes and courses from March 1 in networking and related fields for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students.Nandu Pradhan, vice-president, Onward Novell, says that the Pune based NINT would offer internationally recognised certified Novell engineer, certified Novell administrator and certified Internet professional programmes.
He says that NINT would conduct courses in networking technology, products, systems architecture and management. The duration of some of these hands-on courses would be three days in a row while others would be of 15 days and six months. The fee would range between Rs 5,000 and Rs 25,000. NINT would also offer courses to corporations and also in areas identified by the proposed Indian Institute of Software Engineering or those relevant to the state government. Pradhan says that one class with 50 students has been planned while the other two will have 20 each. The state government has given the company a built-up space of 3,000 square feet on lease at a nominal Rs 10 per square feet. State Chief Secretary P Subrahmaniam has said that Onward Novell would be given possession of the premises by January 15.
