HCL bags first Xeon based server orderA Staff Writer in BombayHCL Infosystems Limited has bagged the country's first order for a Pentium II Xeon microprocessor based Infiniti Global Line Servers. They are to be supplied to TVS Suzuki. These new servers will establish the platform for TVS Suzuki's Baan ERP
Manufactured at the HCL Insys' sate-of-the-art ISO 9002 certified facilities at NOIDA and Pondicherry, the new Infiniti Global Line Serves were recently launched concurrent with the world-wide launch of Intel's Pentium II Xeon processor. Sharad Talwar, general manager-marketing, HCL Insys, has said "Indian companies are fast realising the immense potential of technology to effect their competitive advantage. Bringing high powered and superior performance computing products simultaneous with their world-wide launch demonstrates our efforts to keep our customers abreast of cutting-edge technology and ahead of competition. HCL Insys Infiniti Global Line range of servers and workstations, based on Intel's Pentium II Xeon microprocessor, are linked with the benefits of integration with future technologies. Equipped with dual Pentium II Xeon, a large cache size of IMB and 100 MHz SDRAM, the Infiniti Global Line Servers enable high performance and remote management facilities. The servers are also equipped with unique onboard 'baseboard management controller', delivering higher levels of manageability. |
