Prakash Kothari

Prakash Kothari is India's most famous sexologist.

At his private clinic at Chowpatty, Bombay, and at his outpatient department at the municipal King Edward's Memorial Hospital, Bombay he has advised over 35,000 patients on how to improve their love life.

The author of two books, Common Sexual Problems and Orgasm: New Dimensions, Dr Kothari has, over the years, been largely responsible for bringing a certain respectability to a sexologist's clinic, in a land where mountebanks and quacks abound. Constantly involved with evolving new sexual theories, devising new classification systems for sexual problems, he has also translated Vatsyayan's classic Kamasutra into English. He says he culls a good deal of advice for his patients from this ancient epic.

Impotency, premature ejaculation, masturbation, frigidity -- Dr Kothari fights them with weapons ranging from oil massage, different postures, mutual body exploration and such like...

He is unquestionably an aide to Eros.

Prakash Kothari will be on the Rediff Chat, live, on Tuesday, October 29, 2000 hours IST (1030 hours EDT).

Talk to him about his techniques. His soothing bedside manner gives solace.

Be there!
