Hizbul ex-commander's brother killed

Militants on Saturday shot dead Abdul Gani Bhat, brother of former top Hizbul Mujahideen [ Images ] commander Zaffar Abdul Fateh, outside his residence in Bagh-e-Mehtab area in the outskirts of the city, a senior police official said.

Bhat was shot at and grieviously injured by militants at around 1030 hours while he was taking a stroll outside his house, DIG Srinagar [ Images ] range H K Lohia told PTI.

He said Bhat succumbed to injuries while he was being shifted to a hospital.
