Red Cross accepting aid for tsunami victims

The International Red Cross Society, based in Geneva, has released a preliminary appeal to those who would like to help the people affected by tsunami waves that hit large parts of south India [ Images ] on Sunday.

People who want to help may send bank drafts/cheques in the name Indian Red Cross Society, New Delhi [ Images ]. One may also deposit cash or relief material at the Delhi office.

The society is accepting everything except perishable items and used clothes.
