No power & no jobs; Will Amethi still vote for Rahul?

April 20, 2009
Syed Firdaus Ashraf and photographer Hitesh Harisinghani visit Amethi, the Congress bastion in Uttar Pradesh, to find its residents trapped in the the power-play between the state government and the Centre.

Everyone knows that Amethi in Uttar Pradesh is perhaps the most high-profile parliamentary constituency in the country, and its MP is Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi.

Now, a simple question: Guess the duration of loadshedding in Amethi, when residents in Gandhi's stronghold do not have electricity?

16 hours.

Yes, you read that right.
