J&K: 13 injured in grenade attack July 02, 2008 14:03 IST
Thirteen people including a Central Reserve Police Force constable were injured, four seriously, in a grenade attack by militants on an Amarnath protest rally in Bhaderwah in Doda district on Wednesday following which curfew was clamped in the town. Unidentified militants hurled a grenade on a procession of Bharatiya Janata Party activists and members of a temple committee who were returning to the Laxmi Narain mandir in the town, officials said. They said the rallyists, protesting the Jammu and Kashmir [Images] government's decision to revoke the order transferring forest land to the Amarnath shrine board, earlier clashed with those opposing the land transfer.
