Let Sarkozy bring Bruni: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party [ Images ] on Friday said it has no objection to French President Nicolas Sarkozy [ Images ] bringing his sweetheart Carla Bruni [ Images ] on his official visit to India [ Images ] later this month.

As confusion prevailed on whether the French president will bring the former super model with him, senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj [ Images ] said it was upto the "guest" to decide who should accompany him.

"Why are you making it an issue," she asked in reply to a question on what was the BJP's stand on Sarkozy bringing his girlfriend on an official visit.
