Chattrapal, the main accused in the kidnapping of former Adobe executive Naresh Gupta's son, who escaped from a court premises in February, has been arrested, police said.
Chattrapal was arrested on Wednesday night by a Special Operations Group team of the Uttar Pradesh police, from his home in Rabupura, said the police.
Chattrapal had escaped from judicial custody on February 4 after giving a slip to two constables. The constables were taking him from the jail to the Gautam Buddha Nagar court in Noida.
Earlier, he had managed to dodge the police on three occasions in the last two months.
The Special Task Force had arrested Chattrapal from a hideout in Noida on November 19, 2006, six days after the kidnapping of three-year-old Anant, Gupta's son.
Anant had returned home three days after he was kidnapped. Reports claimed that a huge ransom had been paid to the kidnappers.
