Assam: 5 killed, 25 injured in blasts November 05, 2006 20:50 IST Five persons were killed and more than 25 injured in two simultaneous blasts triggered by the United Liberation Front of Asom in two busy areas of Guwahati on Sunday evening. Three people were killed and more than 20 injured in a powerful explosion at Chai Galli of the busy commercial centre of Fancy Bazaar, Guwahati, at around 6.45 pm., police said. They said, in another explosion around the same time, at Patharquarry area in Noonmati near Indian Oil Corporation's Guwahati Refinery and Oil India Limited installations two persons were killed and five others were injured. Senior police and civil officials have rushed to the spot and further details are awaited.
