At around 8 am on April 22, Bharatiya Janata Party [ Images ] General Secretary Pramod Mahajan [ Images ] was shot at three times by his younger brother, Pravin.

The injuries ultimately proved fatal.

At 4.10 pm on May 3 – 12 days after the attack that shocked the nation – Pramod Mahajan succumbed to his injuries.
