Left opts out of UPA anniversary statement

The Left parties on Wednesday decided to opt out of the ruling United Progressive Alliance's [ Images ] anniversary declaration.

UPA will complete a year in power on May 22 and the declaration will released at a joint rally of all UPA constituents.

The Left parties' decision to not sign the declaration came after a UPA meeting in New Delhi [ Images ].
