Former Patna district magistrate Gautam Goswami, a key accused in Bihar flood relief scam, was sent to 14 days judicial custody on Thursday after he surrendered before court, said a court official.
Goswami was sent to Central Beur jail in Patna.
Goswami was declared absconder after court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against him and eight others on May 31.
Accompanied by his lawyer Tuhin Shanker, Goswami gave himself up before the Designated Vigilance Judge Jitender Mohan Prasad in the morning, a day after the Patna high court rejected his anticipatory bail application in connection with the case.
