Delhi Police arrested a Babbar Khalsa militant who was "to be used as a human bomb" by the outfit, a senior police official said.

Satnam Singh had been prepared by the militant group to be used as a human bomb and investigations were on to know the target, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Tajinder Luthra told PTI.

Some arms and ammunition were also recovered from the accused, who was arrested by the Crime Branch sleuths, he said.

Earlier this month, the Delhi police had arrested Jagtar Singh Hawara, Chief of the outfit's India operations and an accused in assassination of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh.

He was arrested along with two other militants, in connection with May 22 twin blasts in Delhi cinema halls. Hawara, described by the police as a "very big catch", had plans to kill some politicians and bureaucrats.
