Two judges of the Bombay high court, who had stalled the release of Hindi film 'BlackFriday', which is based on the 1993 Bombay bomb blasts, on Thursday viewed it at a special screening at Eros theatre in
South Mumbai.

Director Anurag Kashyap, lawyers P A Sebastian and Mihir Desai were also present along with Justice Hemant Gokhale and Justice S C Dharmadhikari during the screening.

Two days back, the judges had asked the Centre and the Central Board of Film Certification to file their replies on a petition filed by a serial blast accused against the release of movie. The matter would be heard on February 10.

The Bench also asked CBFC if it would reconsider its decision giving clearance to the film.

Moostafa Moosa Tarani protested against the release of the movie saying the trial in the March 12, 1993 serial blast case was yet to conclude.

Counsel for filmmakers Mid-Day Multi Media told the court the film was only a narration of the incident and was not an opinion on the guilt of the accused.

The petitioner's counsel P A Sebastian, however, contended the filmmakers had advertised the film as a 'true story of the bomb blasts'. It would make an immediate impression on the minds of the viewers, he added.
