President Pervez Musharraf will inaugurate a Pakistan Caucus in Congress during his five-hour visit to Washington on September 22.
Congressman Dan Burton and a few other members of Congress who have taken up positions against India are likely to be on the causus, according to Pakistani on-line newspaper South Asia Tribune.
Musharraf is scheduled to meet US President George W Bush in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session. Bush will meet Musharraf and Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai jointly and separately.
The meeting with Musharraf is apparently intended to draw from him assurances that he will redouble his efforts to end Pakistan's sanctuary for Taliban, who continue to operate in Afghanistan.
