AP govt won't renew ban on Naxalites July 21, 2004 17:33 IST As part of initiatives to revive talks with Naxalites, the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday decided not to renew the ban the on People's War group, meeting one of the key demands of the extremist outfit. Home Minister K Jana Reddy made the announcement after consultations with the PWG's emissaries in Hyderabad. "Keeping in view the appeals made by various sections of people, the government has decided not to renew the ban. We hope this will create the right atmosphere to carry forward the process of dialogue to find a permanent solution," Reddy said.
