Pakistan kept its promise and did not raise the Kashmir [ Images ] issue when foreign ministers of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation met in Islamabad [ Images ] on Friday.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri, addressing the meeting, focussed on the cooperation among the SAARC countries to promote peace and economic development.
Later, at a briefing, Kasuri said Pakistan was ready to discuss all issues, including Kashmir.
"Pakistan's position is very clear and this has been repeatedly stated by the President Pervez Musharraf [ Images ] and Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali," he said.
About the possibility of a bilateral meeting with India during the SAARC summit, Kasuri said, "It takes two to tango. You require a peace partner. We can't do it by ourselves."
He added, "The ball is in India's court."
