SC adjourns hearing on Kanchi seer's bail plea December 10, 2004 13:51 IST The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned the hearing on a petition seeking bail for Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati. However, in a surprising development, the Shankaracharya's counsel, M N Krishnamani, objected to the petition, describing it as mischievous. Krishnamani informed the court that no one except him has been authorised to file a petition on behalf of the mutt and the Shankaracharya.
