Bandh disrupts life in Assam August 18, 2004 14:23 IST A 12-hour bandh called by the All Assam Students' Union disrupted normal life in Assam on Wednesday. No untoward incident was, however, reported from any part of the state.
All private buses and autorickshaws remained off the roads. Railway and air services were not affected by the bandh. The bandh began at 0500 IST to protest the killing of 17 people in a blast at an Independence Day function in Dhemaji district.
