11 killed in landslide near Jammu

Eleven labourers were killed and three injured in a landslide on the narrow road leading to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir [ Images ] early on Friday.

The incident occurred at Dabbamore, about 45 km from Jammu. The labourers, engaged in road construction, were asleep in a tent, official sources said.
 
The victims were from the Ramban area in Doda district, they said. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
