CAT scam: CBI to visit accused's village November 27, 2003 20:30 IST A CBI team will soon be leaving for Bihar to question some people named by Ranjit Singh, alleged kingpin in the leakage of CAT question papers. CBI sources said these people were believed to be the backbone of Singh's activities. The team is likely to visit his native village.
The CBI has taken over the interrogation reports of all the accused arrested by the Pune and Delhi police in the case. It would soon seek their custody too by moving the respective courts. After perusing the interrogation reports, the CBI would establish whether they were part of the same racket or acting as separate entities. The agency has already begun its investigation into Singh's links with politicians and bureaucrats. Some employees of the press where CAT papers are printed and members of the IIMs' faculty too have been listed for questioning, the sources said.More reports from Bihar Read about: Satyendra Dubey Murder Case
