Two 'terrorists' blow themselves up in Mecca November 07, 2003 00:06 IST Two suspected terrorists blew themselves up in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, hours after a third suspect was killed in a shootout with security forces in Riyadh on Thursday. The two, who killed themselves when police closed in on them, were part of a terror cell linked to the Al Qaeda. Eight policemen were injured in the Riyadh shootout, which took place in a narrow street. Several terrorists were arrested later. There has been a nationwide security crackdown ever since the May 12 suicide bombing in Riyadh, which killed 35 people.
