Ghazi Baba killed

Indian security agencies heaved a sigh of relief on August 30. Ghazi Baba, the Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist and main accused in the December 13, 2001 attack on Parliament, was killed in an operation conducted by the Border Security Force in Srinagar's Dana Mazaar area.

Ghazi Baba, born Shahbaz Khan, hailed from Bahawalpur in Pakistan. According to an intelligence officer, 'His cadres admired him because he had a commendable talent for planning. He always thought big and used to say, "If you want to hit, hit hardest!"'

That day in August, it was the BSF that hit hard.
