Steve Waugh joins 10k club

Australian captain Steve Waugh hit his 29th century in the fifth Ashes Test and also became the third player to score 10,000 runs in Test history.

The 37 year old joined fellow Australian Allan Border (11,174) and Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar (10,122) in the 10,000+ club. Waugh also matched Border's world record of 156 Test appearances when he took the field at the start of the Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

If anyone still needed confirmation that Steve Waugh is an authentic legend, January 3, 2003 was the day that provided it.
